Sitwise is coming soon to the Mac App Store.

How Sitwise works on your Mac

Sitwise turns the position you choose into a personal reference, notices when the current sit drifts from it, and keeps a separate clock for the time you are actually in the chair.

1. Save the sit you mean to return to

Use a comfortable working position rather than a rigid pose. Sitwise watches that position, shows when it can be saved, and makes it your 100 for this camera, chair, and desk. Move the setup and you can recalibrate in moments.

2. Keep the score one glance away

The score stays in the menu bar while you work. When the current sit begins to drift from the saved reference, the number changes. The score is personal to your setup; it is not a universal assessment of your body.

The sit drifted. Sitwise asks you to sit up.

3. Set a nudge that fits the work

Choose how long a slouch should last before a reminder and how long Sitwise should wait before another. Snooze a reminder, pause the app, or change the timing whenever you need to.

4. Count actual sitting—not just the hour

The sit clock runs while you are in the chair. Stand, step away, or pause and the clock pauses. After the sitting interval you choose, Sitwise asks you to get up and move for the break duration you set.

5. Let standing, away, and pause mean different things

A stand is movement, not slouching. Leaving the frame is Away. A pause you choose keeps Sitwise off until you resume. These states keep reminders from firing when they do not belong.

6. See a pattern without protecting a streak

Review today’s score and sitting totals, your longest unbroken sit, stands, and recent patterns. Up to 30 days of numeric history remains on your Mac. There is no streak to lose and no camera history to inspect.
