How to set a posture baseline you can return to

EthicsLab Limited · Updated 2026-09-06

The honest 100 is a sit you can keep, captured for this desk.

A baseline is not a medically correct spine. In Sitwise it is the comfortable sit you choose for this camera, chair, and desk. After you click Use this sit, 100 means close to that reference.

How to set one

  1. Sit the way you type. Comfortable, not rigid.
  2. Watch This sit. Green means this is not a slouch. You do not need a military-straight number.
  3. Click Use this sit. A slump cannot be saved.
  4. Recalibrate if the camera, chair, or distance changes.

A close webcam that can see your face is enough. Both shoulders help if they fit; they must not block calibration. Do not freeze at 100. Sitwise will still ask you to shift and, later, to stand and move. More in Support and How it works.
